We welcome your submissions. Please take a moment to review the type of content we’re seeking, then use our Contact page to submit your chapter news or story ideas.

What we need

Chapter News: This is our most read section. We are looking for news (and photos, 300 dpi preferred) about chapter awards, fundraisers, community service events, and member accomplishments (varsity athlete, student government, etc.). If your chapter hasn’t submitted news in a while, contact them, write 100 words on what you learned, and submit it to the Cross & Crescent.

Alumni News and Reports of Death: We also publish alumni news (and photos, 300 dpi preferred) and reports of death. Alumni news includes professional accomplishments, promotions, volunteer efforts, awards, and any participation in any Lambda Chi events or activities. For reports of death, please include a link to an online obituary.

Feature Stories: Each month, we publish two 1,500-word stories about prominent or interesting alumni (and sometimes about undergraduates, too). We need your help identifying members at the very top of their chosen career, contacting them, and writing their stories for upcoming issues.

What we don’t publish

Upcoming Events: Promoting upcoming events that have not yet happened is beyond the current scope of the Cross & Crescent. We’re working on rebuilding www.lambdachi.org to include tools that will help you promote your golf outings, homecomings, fishing trips, and the like. (After your event occurs, do send us a summary and photo and we will publish them.)

Personal News: Family news like weddings, births, graduations, and the like are not accepted. (Reports of death are accepted.)

When we need it

Being a monthly publication, our official deadline for content is the 20th of the month. Sometimes, we will accept content submitted after the deadline. And sometimes, when we have too much content, we hold content for the next issue. Regardless, please send us your content at any time and we will consider it for the next available issue.

Original material

You are also promising us that you wrote the content or took the photograph yourself, and agree that Lambda Chi Alpha may freely alter and publish your submitted content as its own. Though your content becomes Lambda Chi Alpha property, we work hard to give credit where it is due.

How to submit content

Use the Contact page to send us your chapter news or story ideas. Please provide as much information about each person or chapter you mention; noting a full name, school of initiation, and graduation year. For obituaries, please include their date of death.

For feature stories on prominent alumni, please tell us who you would like to feature and why. Also, please provide details regarding the best way for us to reach them.
