max_capitol_headshotMax Cleland has spent his life dedicated to veteran affairs, serving as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in the Carter Administration, the U.S. Senator from Georgia, and most recently was appointed Secretary of the American Battle Monuments Commission by President Obama. Having lost three limbs during the Vietnam War, he is a shining example of why we celebrate our independence on this July 4, 2009.
