  3. Lt.Col.Von W.Freeman (Ret) Says:

I was a member of Gamma Chi in the 1950’s and was proud of it then; and am overwhelmed with proud of them now. I remember how proud we were of the new Chapter house. As a matter of fact I was the first one to occupy it upon returning in the summer from summer camp at Ft. Monmouth with David Harrell. What I realkly wish is that we had
taken better case of it; and stretched ourselves a little bit more on academics. That is not to say we did not have some who did that stretching. Unfortunately I was not one of them, and didn’t discover that I could make good grades until I started taking college courses while in the armyh for 23 years. I have always been proud be be a Lambda Chi and am just as proud to be listed as an alumni. Some of my brothers may remember that my future wife, Betty”Dahne”Adcox was Lambda Chi Queen in 1950 She was a Zeta. and gave me 6 fine sons. She passed away in 1995 from cancer

Congrats to Tony Brown on his recent election in Kansas! He and I were part of the same Associate Member class at Wabash some 29 years ago … great work, Tony!!

  5. Al Ristori Says:

Have only recently started receiving these e-mails. Notice there’s no coverage of the Colgate chapter that was thrown off campus by the politically-correct administration years after I graduated in 1958. After graduating from Navy O.C.S., and serving aboard the U.S.S. John R. Pierce (DD-753) and as War Plans Officer at the Naval Station in Trinidad, I’ve made a living by working at my hobby — fishing. Was Director of Field Testing for Garcia Corp. when it was the largest fishing tackle company in the U.S. Recently retired as Saltwater Fishing editor of The Star-Ledger, New Jersey’s largest newspaper, but continue to free lance a Friday column plus a daily blog. Additionally, I’m a regional editor for Salt Water Sportsman, and Conservation editor of The Fisherman magazines (four editions from New England to the Mid-Atlantic). A Coast Guard-licensed captain, I’ll also continue chartering out of Highlands and Manasquan, N.J. in between trips around much of the world in search of ever tougher fish to write about — hopefully short of the 5 1/2-hour battle with a 170-pound yellowfin tuna on spinning tackle in Panama at age 69, or the 12 1/2 hour losing battle with a potential world record swordfish on light tackle when I was younger. Won the first Fishing World Cup at Tabira, Japan in 2001.
Married, with three adult children, I live at 1552 Osprey Ct., Wall, NJ 08736 (732 223-5729 — cristori@aol.com). Would like to hear from fellow Colgate Lambda Chis. Have kept in touch with Chike Dyott and Don Proferes. Couldn’t make the 50th reunion on my birthday (June 1), but it wouldn’t be the same with our house now the Peace Studies building.

Congratulations to the Penn State chapter on achieving the highest GPA of all fraternities on campus. One of the best achievements any chapter can have anywhere. WE ARE PENN STATE!
    Tony Cognetti

  10. Richard Haring Says:

It seems to me that Lambda Chi Alpha has abandoned the alumni of GZZ at W&J.

You don’t publish any information about their activities or status in life and it is as though they never existed even though they had nothing to do with whatever caused you to deactivate the chapter.

That is no way to treat brothers!! We passed the pledge period and were activated and should receive the same coverage as those in chapters that you still include.

  11. Richard Nolan Beta 841 Says:

Thanks for the information on Beta

  12. Chad L. McConchie Says:

Still looking for any information on the possible re-colonization of Iota-Epsilon at Indiana State University.
