  1. David M. Weakley Says:

With respect to Mr. Loren Purvines and his family, I don’t believe he was a member of LCA at Tennessee Tech. I was a charter member and have never heard of him. The notice also indicates that he graduated in 1964 and LCA did not come on campus until the late 1960’s.

  2. David L. Woods Says:

I cannot recall how long it has been actually read something of interest in the CROSS & CRESCENT about ZNZ at San Jose State. The Bishoff story was a first — at least for this reader.

Incidentally, San Jose is now the 10th largest city in the US — having recently replaced Detroit. You would think that would make a modern, growing & perhaps the most racially & ideologically mixed university in the nation appeal to Lambda Chi Alpha for re-colonization — but have heard no such thoughts.

David L. Woods, ZNZ 45, former HA, & confirmed academic despite full-time career is R&D, the Navy, & government — have taught as adjuct prof more than 40 years. Decade each at the U of MD, the U of VA, GWU, most recently Marshall U in WV where 7′1″ Pittsnoggle shot 3-pointers.

  3. F. J. (Rick) Gaido Says:

RE: Response of David M. Weekly to “Chapter News on April 2:
Loren Purvines was a LXA brother from the town of Panhandle, Texas, who was with me at Alpha-Mu Zeta at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating UT in 1964, he then went on to get his Law degree at SMU.

  4. Jason Pearce Says:

Correction: Thank you Brothers Weakley and Gaido. It appears we mislabeled two chapters: Tennessee-Tech should have been Texas, and Wofford should have been Worcester. We’ve made the correction and apologize for the error.

  5. tom Robertson Says:

David Schur (2008) I congatulate you ans hope that this leadership position will allow you and the rest of the lxa’s at UoF to succed. Go Gators. We are winning at half time. Ray send me a note
